At L of a Car Limited, we like to try and keep things simple for both you and us. 

So, here is the boring and legal stuff:

Firstly, all transactions completed by us are subject to English Law, regardless of your place of residence. 

All of our vehicles come complete with a HPI/RAC Dealer Passport check to ensure no write off's, no finance outstanding and most importantly that the vehicle is not stolen.

Any independent inspection is welcome on any of our vehicles prior to purchase

All of our vehicles are prepared to the highest possible standards including a full valet upon arrival.

Part Exchange is a pleasure, please bring your vehicle in for a valuation. 
No firm price will be given unless we have seen the vehicle.
We will consider Cars, Vans or even Motorcycles..

All vehicles* are sold with a choice of 6 Month / 6,000 Miles Silver Warranty OR 3 Months / 3,000 Gold Warranty underwritten by ourselves, L of a Car Limited.
An upgrade or extension is available... Please ask for more details
*Part Exchange to Clear vehicles have a 3 Month/3,000 Miles Silver warranty.

A deposit of £500 is required to secure any vehicle, cash, debit or credit card are accepted. Personal Cheques are no longer accepted. Deposits are non refundable once we have started to prepare any vehicle to your requirements. 

Do We Charge an ADMIN FEE ? 
Our £99 admin fee is waived if paying via bank transfer. If you choose to pay via credit / debit car or by cheque then a standard £99 admin fee is applicable on any balance over £500. 
There may be an admin fee if you use an external finance company that charges us to complete your transaction - (These include Carfince 24/7 and Zuto) Please ask for more details

Buying a Motorhome
All Motorhomes are sold on a commission basis as we do not stock these vehicles ourselves. We would be the Broker in any of these transactions, receiving a fixed commission from the seller for completing the purchase.
Please not that if purchasing a Motorhome from us we cannot provide a full warranty on the internal workings of the van. This does not affect your consumer rights when purchasing.


With the change in legislation on 13th January 2018 we are no longer able to pass on the increadibly high charges that are put on us when processing debit & credit cards.
It is for this reason that we are unable to accept these methods for paying the balance on any purchase over £500 UNLESS otherwise specifically agreed in the deal at time of order.


We do accept and prefer Online Bank Transfer or Bank Draft / Cash (Limits Apply) - Please ask us if you are unsure on the best way to finalise your purchase.

We no longer accept personal cheques for payment of any vehicle.

Leaving a deposit indicates a commitment to buy. ANY Refund of deposit will exclude any costs incurred by us in preparation of the vehicle to your requirements.

All vehicles are to be collected within 7 days of purchase unless otherwise agreed. A storage charge of £25 per week will be incurred outside of this agreement.

1. Buying remotely, you will be subject to Distance Selling Regulations meaning that you can return the vehicle to us within 14 days of delivery.

2. In order to take advantage of this you are agreeing to return the vehicle to our showroom at your cost, are happy for a deduction of £1.00 per mile from the purchase price paid along with a deduction for any interior or exterior damage not noted on delivery. The only difference in the pence per mile charge is when returning under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, when this is set at the recommended 45p per mile. This amount is enforced on every return to us in addition to a valeting charge of £100 to return the vehicle to the same state that it would have been delivered to you in. 

3. The Mileage charge would begin 20 miles from the noted mileage at delivery. We believe that 20 miles is suitable enough for a test drive to note any issues with the vehicles performance etc.

4. When buying above, the V5 will not be sent to DVLA to confirm change of keeper until 15 days after purchase.

5. As such, any Road Tax refund would be your responisbility to claim back from the DVLA directly.

6. There is no Admin fee for restocking the vehicle. 

Our Used Car Site is protected by 24hr HDR Surveillance. This is for Crime Prevention and Customer / Staff Safety.

** We use RING Cameras which are security locked to our business. We have had a number of devices STOLEN over lockdown and would like to remind people that these camera's cannot be reused and so are useless without our consent for them to re reassigned to another account **

All Vehicle Registration Numbers are Recorded When Entering Our Site.
