Former employees of Osmington Garage, Myself (Carl) and Phil were given the opportunity to start our own business at Osmington. We decided as we were starting a new company to rename the garage as L of a Car.
A fresh new look and name to go with the fresh new customer friendly business that we were going to create..
You will recognise Phil if you have visited or purchased a vehicle from the former Osmington Garage in 2006/07/08. I joined Phil permanently in late January 2008 after working at the prestigious but now bankrupt Bramshaw Garage in Bournemouth.
We both previously worked together for some 5 years at George Hartwell Peugeot in the Poole and Bournemouth dealerships where we both realised our future aspirations of running our own business were mutual.
Now having had the opportunity to bring the skills and experiences that we have both gained through the years of showroom car sales we have brought to you the unique experience that L of a Car will offer the local and surrounding areas
We offer a relaxed atmosphere along with a no pressure attitude to make buying your next car a pleasure rather than a chore.
We have taken every aspect of a sterile "Main Dealer" away and want everyone who buys a car from us to not only become a customer but a friend.
We have now relocated the L of a Car showroom to the former Ford Garage in Weymouth Avenue Dorchester.
After a very busy 8 months at Osmington Garage we made the decision to go head to head with the current economical crisis and expand our Sales Department to the bigger more comfortable surroundings that Weymouth Avenue has to offer..
We completed the move to Dorchester and our new site officially opened on the 2nd March 2009.
We have both worked hard in 2009 helping to grow the business and to be able to offer you the very best selection of vehicles at the very best price.
We have also sponsered many events in 2009 including Dorchester and Weymouth Football Clubs, the DTFC Golf Day and currently provide Wessex FM with the "L of a Car Bun Run Beetle"
Now that we have entered 2010 we are looking forward to a successful year and hope to expand our sales department in the near future.

With the very competitive Maiden Castle Garage now open on site, we are also able to accommodate all of the maintenance and servicing requirements that you may need after purchasing your new vehicle.
